Meet Rasheem
Shvilla Rasheem, (known for saying Just call me Rasheem) is a Critical Thinker, Social Scientist, Change Agent and Social Entreprenuer.
As a product of teenage pregnancy and a heroin addicted father, in her primary years s. Rasheem was raised by a grandmother with no more than a third grade education. It was with her grandmother that she learned that there is something within all of us that is greater than our circumstance. Because of the lessons she learned from her grandmother, Rasheem leverages her experiences both personal and professional with her degrees in Social Science, Sociology, Nonprofit Management and Macro Social Work to make a difference. Rasheem has dedicated a life of learning and experience to transforming the lives of individuals, organizations and community. She combines pragmatism and passion to create measurable change in the lives of others.
In her own words:
“I’m striving to not only be a product of my environment, but to create an environment that is a product of me.” –s. Rasheem
Rasheem is acutely aware that you don’t have to grow up in poverty with a drug addicted parent to want transformation your community. People like her for her heart, they listen to her for her head and they build community with her because she uses both to make positive measurable change in the world.
